I think she nailed the pacing of the story as it comes in at a pretty pivotal time in the boys relationship. Dec 13, Anke rated it anara was amazing Shelves: But I got clobbered by Kindle Sample Syndrome with this book. Trivia About Holiday Outing. And root for Lars to win Seth back, I did.
Jonah and Ethan’s story was romantic and sweet. If only the words that came out of that beautiful mouth were as sweet as his kisses. This book had its moments, both happy and sad. I’m stingy with the five stars. And a bit more than the first book: Her characters are so natural and normal and full of life and fun.
A hopiday a bit too present and always worried for him probably didn’t help, but Jonah couldn’t see past his fears, and didn’t realize that his parents loved, and love, him. Other books in the series. Also, at this point the two have lived together for three years, so they are more st 3. Meanwhile, a asteid heirloom goes missing and fingers start pointing as everyone gets blamed as most everyone seemingly could be a suspect.

But this time, coming home for the Hanukkah holiday, he is firm in his decision to coming out I loved the MCs and Jonah’s family were equally fantastic and horrifying. Oh yes, it turns out to be a pretty eventful Hanukkah indeed I really liked the secondary characters in astrix story and seeing how the stress and tension that was pervasive throughout the beginning of the book eased as everyone settled into their own.
Miracle of the Bellskis
If this isn’t bad enough, Jonah has to interpret Ethan’s strange new fascination with him. He is trying to work up the nerve to come out, to tell them about his writing and what his life is really like.
I always loved going to temple, but I know it wasn’t the same going to church for my ex, but he did it for outng and my family, which I always really appreciated. It was evident that these two loved each other but didn’t know how to get past their fears. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. View all 4 comments.
Holiday Outing by Astrid Amara – Elisa – My reviews and Ramblings
Of course it’s Lars! The plot was a little far-fetched, but I amzra when I read a Chanukah astri with Jewish characters that I can relate to. His closeted boss love interest is a jerk. Seth loves Lars but is tired of the secrecy Lars even has a beard GF! There is plenty of angst to go around while the MCs try to fulfill the expectations of both sets of parents, at the same time that Seth is also struggling through his first case as a newly-minted attorney.
Thanks for telling us about the problem.

hlliday A successful author of gay fiction, still closeted to his family, gets snowed in with ouitng family and a high school nemesis for Hanukkah. Also, in the circumstances, the chances of the Aunt or Uncle not getting in touch at some point during the week at the very least with their own child in a “hey have you seen your Dad” type conversation seems unlikely. If Carol of the Bellskis is mainly about handling the secrecy of their relationship, this book is about handling the family.
A Joyfully Jay review. I loved that Seth’s parents called Lars son and had him in their will. Dec 15, Fehu rated it it was amazing Shelves: But then again, if they can survive this Hanukah, maybe they’ll be singing a carol of the Bellskis. It was fun and amazing to see the chemistry and love between them blossom, and the sweetness and comfort of them together.
At the last moment, Lars refuses to go because his clients and peers might wonder about him taking vacation during the week of Hanukkah. As a successful writer of gay romance novels and with him being gay himself, Jonah is quite happy with the life he has built for himself. The visit is complicated by Seth’s first case as a new lawyer. I loved Carol of the Bellskis which I reviewed briefly on Good Reads aamaraand so that made me look forward to reading this book.
Only the ending was a bit amsra. I would of like to see a little more repentance for his actions while at school but overall I really liked him.
