I think the female side of the connector is the HU side so you would still want to tap the wire that is color coded for the fronts but if you use the male which Basa600 believe is going to the speakers then you would use the rear color coded wires. I just bought this unit and installed it myself. Been a little while since I put it in, but as I recall it didn’t want to fit under either seat. Didn’t fit under my seats in my ’08, thus the reason I mounted it where I did.
